Each Home Check visit includes an inspection of the property’s interior and exterior elements, as well as a detailed report sent promptly afterward, enabling owners to:

  • Detect issues before they become catastrophic and costly. 

  • Monitor the quality of work from service companies, such as landscape care and pool technicians.

  • Receive recommendations and referrals from a local authority on sound practices for the safekeeping of desert homes.

Host With The Most offers a range of services, available at the homeowner’s request, to create the perfect program of care for their unique property and individual needs. 

Exterior inspection checklist items include but are not are not limited to: 

  • Ensure the security of all windows and exterior doors. 

  • Perform a visual inspection for signs of forced entry, vandalism, theft, storm damage, insect infestation, and animal intrusion. 

  • Remove newspapers, flyers, packages, and mail to eliminate signs of an unattended home.

  • Check outside faucets and hoses for leaks. 

  • Assess yard/landscaping for regular maintenance. 

  • Check and operate the irrigation system, verify the accuracy of the irrigation clock system.

  • Attend to lighting needs, replacing bulbs as necessary. 

  • Check exterior circuit breakers for any tripped breakers. 

  • For properties with a pool or hot tub, monitor levels and filtering systems. 

  • Coordinate and oversee regular services with vendors, including pool technicians and gardeners. 

  • Provide an exterior Home Check report after each visit. 

Interior inspection checklist items include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the security of all windows and entryways. 

  • Verify the proper functioning of the security system. 

  • Set the inside lighting timer according to owner preferences. 

  • Reset clocks and timers as necessary.

  • Confirm that the thermostat is set to the correct temperature. 

  • Test Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detectors and replace batteries if needed. 

  • Inspect the fuse box for any tripped breakers. 

  • Open faucets in sinks, bathtubs, and showers to prevent trap water from evaporating. 

  • Run the dishwasher on a short rinse cycle to maintain seal moisture. 

  • Check the functionality of freezers, refrigerators, and disposals. 

  • Conduct a visual inspection of HVAC-serviced areas. 

  • Visually inspect walls, ceilings, windows, tubs, and showers for water damage, leakage, mold, or mildew. 

  • Visually examine the hot water heater and AC pans. 

  • Provide an interior Home Check report after each visit.

  • Check ignition of vehicles and golf carts.

  • Water interior plants.

  • Key Holder Services: Coordinate property access for various situations.

  • Consult on Interior Design.

  • Coordinate pre-arrival and post-departure housekeeping.

  • Provision the home with groceries for owner arrival. 

  • Set out and return patio furniture to storage.

  • Supervise pool service and lawn care.

  • Offer referrals for trusted contractors and vendors.

  • Provide housekeeping services.
